During a private meeting and in reaction to the radical Republicans who protested Trump for boosting the United States relations with Saudi Arabia, Trump said that Saudi Arabia is just like ‘a milk cow’ and asserted we will slaughter it when its milk runs out.
In another part of his speech, Trump adds that Saudi Arabia is an ugly bride who is also rich. Because of her money, we have love affairs with her passionately and logically. We will leave the bed when Saudi’s money finishes.
In an interview about the first 100 days of his presidency with Reuters, Trump complained that the United States has lost “tremendous amount of money” to defend Saudi Arabia and asserted that Arab countries do not treat the U.S. fairly. He also criticized the main partners of the U.S. in the Middle East and claimed that Saudi Arabia does not even pay us enough though it is almost completely dependent on the United States defense system. “Frankly, Saudi Arabia has not treated us fairly, because we are losing a tremendous amount of money in defending Saudi Arabia,” Trump said.
Last week, Reuters reported that the United States was pushing through contracts for billions of dollars in arms and weaponry to Saudi Arabia before Trump’s visit. The United States boosts Riyadh’s defense capabilities by giving the Kingdom over $100 billion arms in near future, said a senior White House official to Reuters.
Having this background in mind, President Trump leaves for Saudi Arabia on 19 May which is his first stop on his first foreign trip.
